With the growing number of learners who are autistic, comes a growing need to understand and appreciate the challenges that these young people face in their day to day lives. This training will provide autism awareness with a focus on the behavioural differences that may be seen in an autistic person, the possible triggers for certain behaviours and how to support the learners in these times. In addition, the impact of anxiety associated with autism will be covered to extend knowledge and understanding further.
The sessions will be a mix of delivery, videos, activities and discussion, to fully engage with the topic, share experiences and provide knowledge and strategies to support learners in ALL and ANY area of college life.
This training is only available to Halesowen College staff
